What is Skin Needling?
Skin needling, also known as collagen induction therapy or micro-needling, is an advanced clinical treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin from within. Can I get on with my day after treatment?
You sure can! Some clients may experience redness immediately post treatment, but this typically subsides not long after treatment. As there is no downtime, you can get on with your day as usual.
How many treatments will I need?
This will all depend on your individual situation, and we will carefully assess this for you during your consultation. Some clients may only need 4 treatments, while other may require 6 or 8 to achieve brilliant results.
When will I start seeing results?
When it comes to the tightening and lifting effect of RF, it can produce instant results. You will notice immediate improvements to your skin tone that will just get better with each session. The collagen remodeling aspect of RF takes a little more time and you will reach full benefits of the collagen stimulation around 3 months after treatment.
The Experience
Brooke is fully qualified in performing skin needling treatments she first obtained her skin needling certificate at the Adelaide Beauty Academy in 2019 and completed a refresher course with them in 2023. Brooke has since invested in the Dermapen 4 skin needling device, the most advanced microneedling device on the market, to deliver safe, consistent, and highly effective results. In doing so she has completed her Dermapen 4 skin needling certificate and her advanced Dermapen 4 skin needling certificate.
Once your appointment is booked you will be sent a comprehensive consultation form via email that will need to be filled out prior to your appointment. The questions can feel a little intrusive, but it’s important that you are provide with a safe and suitable treatment.
During the skin needling treatment, the forehead will most likely be the most sensitive for you, especially along the hairline.
Depending on the area of the face and decolletage will depend on the depth used for the needles. There are 4 passes performed over each area of the skin, covering the face and decolletage as well if required. There is expected to be some erythema (redness) which should subside within 24 – 48 hours.
We recommend between 4 – 6 sessions to see optimum results.
To prepare for your Treatment
AVOID THE FOLLOWING AT LEAST 1 WEEK PRIOR TO YOUR TREATMENT:
• Resurfacing agents (including but not limited to alpha-hydroxy-acids, salicylic acid)
• Retinoids/retinoid-like agents (including but not limited to tretinoin/retinoic acid, tazarotene,adapalene, retinol)
• Antimicrobial agents (including but not limited to benzoyl peroxide, isopropyl alcohol)
• Bleaching/depigmenting agents (including but not limited to Kligman’s Formula, hydroquinone)
AVOID THE FOLLOWING AT LEAST 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR TREATMENT:
• Plastic/cosmetic surgery
• Botulinum toxin/BTX/muscle relaxant/wrinkle reduction injections (including but not limited to Botox®/Vistabel®, Dysport™/Azzalure™ Xeomin®/ Bocouture®)
• Long-term/semi -permanent injectables (including but not limited to Aquamid®, Sculptra®, Artefill®)
• Microdermabrasion
• Derma blading/derma planing
• Laser/IPL rejuvenation/hair removal

• Electrolysis/diathermy
• Radio Frequency (RF) skin tightening

After Your Treatment
• Apply SPF-50 sunscreen daily especially when outdoors to prevent pigmentation.
AVOID FOR UP TO 2 DAYS:

- Saunas, baths, swimming in pools or the beach
- Shaving/waxing in the treated area.
- Intensive exercise, cardio or excessive sweating
- Hot showers, spas, saunas
- Other aesthetic treatments (e.g., microdermabrasion, laser, chemical peels, muscle relaxants, dermal fillers)
- Spray tanning or self-tanning
- Tattooing (including cosmetic tattoos)
AVOID ACTIVE SKINCARE INGREDIENTS FOR UP TO 5 DAYS:
