Skin needling is an advanced skin treatment that uses sterilised micro-needles to create micro channels in the skin. This causes the skin to have a wound healing response, stimulating the skin. The stimulation means an increase in the production of collagen & elastin, rejuvenating the skin. With the increase of collagen and elastin fine lines & wrinkles are reduced, improving the skins overall complexion & glow.

  • Pacemakers
  • Implants or pins over area
  • Cardiac disorders
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Herpes Simplex (Can spark an outbreak)
  • Diabetes
  • Active area treatment disorders (rashes, acne, eczema)
  • Roaccutane
  •  Skin sensitisation medication
  • Facial laser resurfacing within the last 3 months
  • Any surgical procedures in the last 6 months

RF is a painless treatment and most clients will experience zero discomfort. Some find the warm sensation relaxing

RF can effectively treat the entire body depending on your skin concern.

  • Tightens and lifts loose or sagging skin around the jowls, neck, chin, tummy, buttocks, thighs, arms and legs
  • Tightens, smoothes and improves facial skin tone to reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Reduces and smoothes the appearance of cellulite and uneven skin tone
  • Firms ageing skin, including décolleté, to produce a more youthful appearance

Can I get on with my day after treatment?

You sure can! Some clients may experience redness immediately post treatment, but this typically subsides not long after treatment.  As there is no downtime, you can get on with your day as usual.

How many treatments will I need?

This will all depend on your individual situation, and we will carefully assess this for you during your consultation. Some clients may only need 4 treatments, while other may require 6 or 8 to achieve brilliant results.

When will I start seeing results?

When it comes to the tightening and lifting effect of RF, it can produce instant results. You will notice immediate improvements to your skin tone that will just get better with each session. The collagen remodeling aspect of RF takes a little more time and you will reach full benefits of the collagen stimulation around 3 months after treatment.

 

Special care following your treatment…

It is a good idea to avoid excess sun exposure and always apply sunscreen if going out into the sun post treatment. Caring for your skin will ensure the beautiful results of your RF treatments stay with you for a long time to come.

  • Please wear a SPF-50 sunscreen when outside, to avoid the increased risk of developing pigmentation.
  • No excessive sweating, saunas, baths or pools.
  • Please avoid sun exposure and/or infrared light exposure.
  • Please avoid shaving, waxing, IPL, laser or electrolysis in the treatment area.
  • Please avoid cosmetic tattooing in the area for at least 2 weeks.

Face – $250

This treatment is for Skin Needling of the face only.

Face + Décolletage – $300

This treatment is for Skin Needling of the face + décolletage.

Skin Consultation

This treatment is not suitable for all skin types, clients are required to have a complimentary consultation prior to treatment to determine suitability. At your complimentary consultation, your therapist will create a tailored preparation plan based on your skin type.

What to Expect

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Brooke is fully qualified in performing skin needling treatments and obtained her certificate at the Adelaide Beauty Academy in 2019 and completed a refresher course in 2023.

Once your appointment is booked you will be sent a comprehensive consultation form via email that will need to be filled out prior to your appointment. The questions can feel a little intrusive, but it’s important that you are provide with a safe and suitable treatment.

Your appointment will begin with a skin consultation to discuss any skin concerns and answer any questions that you have about the treatment. Your treatment will start with a cleanse of the skin followed an antiseptic to prepare the skin for the skin needling.

Numbing cream is not recommended but can be applied prior to the treatment to allow for a more comfortable treatment. While the numbing cream is taking effect, I can perform a relaxing head massage and hair treatment using coconut oil.

During the skin needling treatment the forehead will most likely be the most sensitive for you, especially along the hair line.

Depending on the area of the face and decolletage will depend on the depth used for the needles. There are 4 passes performed over each area of the skin, covering the face and decolletage as well if required.

There is expected to be some erythema (redness) which should subside within 24 – 48 hours.
